AMAZON ASIA-PACIFIC HOLDINGS PRIVATE LIMITED
For shoppers to donate directly to local NPOs by purchasing items off their Amazon.sg wishlist
The Amazon X Shop for Good Wishlist program is a joint effort by Amazon Singapore and the NVPC to encourage shoppers to donate to local non-profit organizations (NPOs) directly by purchasing items listed on the nonprofits’ Amazon.sg wishlist.
This collaboration builds on Amazon’s COVID-19 community outreach efforts in Singapore which includes in-kind and monetary donations to over 20 non-profit organizations so far. To date, Amazon is working with NPOs such as Singapore Children’s Society, Blessings in a Bag, Children’s Wishing Well, Club Rainbow, The Food Bank Singapore, Singapore Red Cross and SOSD on the wishlist program, and welcomes more NPOs to participate.
Amazon Singapore is committed to helping children and young adults, especially those from underrepresented and underserved communities, have the resources and skills they need to build their best future. Our goals include creating a positive learning environment for underprivileged children and young adults by working with local non-profit organizations (NPO) to address immediate needs such as family hunger and homelessness.
As Singapore adjusts to new ways of living and working, we are mindful that there may still be others who are struggling. The Amazon X Shop for Good Wishlist program is designed to support non-profit organizations’ donation efforts by making it easy for customers to support our NPO partners by shopping on NPO wishlists on Amazon.sg. By specifying the type of items and quantity needed in the NPO’s wishlist, shoppers can easily participate in donating to NPOs via a fuss-free and transparent manner. Through a simple click, shoppers can purchase items that will be delivered directly to the NPOs.
This program ensures NPOs get what they need and avoids donation wastage. In addition, Amazon will provide nonprofits onboard with a nominal sum donation to get the charity ball rolling.
