Fashion Sustainability

The Fashion Parade

A movement of promises & pledges made by Singapore's fashion ecosystem to strive for sustainability.

Calling all Designers / Artists, Brands, Models, Individuals (Public participation + Volunteers), Schools / Universities, NGOs, SEs, Youth Team!

The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry today. The industry's negative externalities range from social to ecological effects.
Modern slavery, trafficked labour, chemical pollution, CO2 emissions, and disposal of textile waste to landfills in developing countries.

We want to raise awareness on these issue and turn it into REAL actions by inviting Brands, NGOs, Governments, and Individuals to create a collective
positive impact on environmental, social, and corporate governance.

How? By making pledges: #ipromise - A movement translating into a hybrid fashion show featuring sustainable and/or upcycled clothing created by local designers & Individuals.

1) Examples of pledges :
Individual: #ipromise to repair my clothes instead of disposing them
Brand: #ipromise to obtain a fairtrade certification by 2022

2) Fashion show (Taking place on 5th December 2021 - In conjunction with UN’s International Volunteer Day & NVPC’s giving week)
In addition, We are pairing #ipromise with a live and virtual fashion show, showcasing local, upcycled and student work.
We are looking to pull NGOs and Social Enterprises in Singapore to champion this movement.
The live show will be filmed and screened on Ten Square's LED screen in the Bras Basah Bugis Precinct.

If you are a designer / have work to show - we want to give you this platform to showcase it.
If you are an advocate for social & environmental sustainability come on down and volunteer, make a pledge!

3) Other areas to join us :

reaching out to potential stakeholders, etc.
