Demonstrating the business value of pro-bono service

27 Sep 2017

Pro-bono can support business objectives by simultaneously bolstering employee morale, developing talents, improving the company’s reputation, and driving internal innovation. Volunteers who donate their skills to organizations that serve the community can derive a greater sense of purpose about their job and their employer, while developing their own career and skills. At the same time, pro-bono shares value with community partners by delivering capacity building services to help nonprofits grow and achieve their mission.

In a recent Taproot survey, 92% of nonprofit leaders reported that they do not have enough pro-bono resources. Pro-bono programs can serve to fill that unmet need and become one of the most effective methods for “sharing value” among all involved parties.
