Stories of Good

What building bicycles taught me about building compassion in Singapore

For many companies, CSR is just one part of business operations. For Grace at Work Teambuilding, it operates in the business of CSR.

This was Tony Loo's vision for Grace at Work Teambuilding, when he founded it as a subsidiary of Biking Singapore. The company works with its clients to run corporate training programmes that blends teambuilding and social impact. With its Build a Wheelchair flagship initiative, employees of corporate clients come together to build wheelchairs from scratch, which are then donated to charities.

For many of Grace at Work's clients, this is the spark that sets off a burning desire to do more for the community. Tony recounted an instance when the client went on to support a seniors' home after going through the programme.

Playing the role of a multiplier, Grace at Work Teambuilding was recognised as a Champion of Good in 2020.
